About us
We believe that true happiness lies in helping others. Taking pleasure in what we do not only represents our core value, but is also the guiding idea of everything that we do. Our passion is visible in our everyday interaction with our residents.
In addition to our desire to provide superior medical care, we wanted to create a new value for this region that will be passed on to future generations. We believe that an open heart and diligent hands are the main characteristics of the people of this region. We have incorporated these characteristics into the foundation of this project. We want everyone to feel at home at John Paul II Nursing Home.
Our mission is to find out how you are feeling and to discover what we can do to make you feel as pleasant as possible during your stay. Regardless of whether you are here for a short stay, post-surgery recovery or if you have chosen us as your new home, our team will always do its best to cater to your needs. Our commitment to enriching the lives of our residents is visible in every detail, from our carefully groomed olive trees to the smiling faces of our staff members that are bound to brighten your day.
About the Home
Set in the picturesque setting of the most fertile region of the Dalmatian coastal area, John Paul II Nursing Home spreads over 300 000 square meters of cultivated land. The nursing home overlooks a centuries-old olive grove, our organic garden and the magnificent mountain of Velebit. The Nursing Home also features the so called "crna kužina" (black kitchen), a traditional Dalmatian gathering place where people have, since the days of old, come to sit by the fire and exchange stories over a glass of homemade wine and food.
John Paul II Nursing Home is a place where a rustic environment meets modern technology in order to satisfy all the needs of our users. All our rooms feature a private bathroom, TV, underfloor heating and air conditioning. Call buttons are discreetly located around the room in order to ensure maximum safety.
Since special attention is given to environmental protection, during construction we made sure that the entire energy is used rationally. Therefore, the building is equipped with solar panels and first-class thermal insulation.
